In the summer of 2019, inspired by people like Casey Neistat I purchased a drone. Initially, it felt more like a toy than a tool I found it difficult to find ways to add drone videography into the projects I was working on. I soon found my drone collecting dust. One day I had the idea to ask my friend to drive his car around an enclosed looped road. We spent the afternoon getting interesting looking shots. That night I dumped the footage and put it to music. Since making this video, I have taken my drone to more interesting places and as of August of 2024 I am certified to fly commercially. Since then I have pushed myself to make more opportunities to fly a drone, and have even become the default drone pilot for my job and my role within my short film group.
