A documentary created for the JTWO incubator program. It follows a charity in Pitman NJ known as Angels Community Outreach
This was my first documentary I had ever produced. I had done it while interning at JTWO in Philadelphia as part of their incubator program. After talking with the staff and my fellow interns I landed on making a small but grounded documentary on Angels Community Outreach. The charity is located in Pitman NJ and was founded after the owners had to flee one night from an abuse situation.
I really wanted to highlight the space and feeling of support so we opted to shoot most of the b’roll in slow motion which I think gives it an interesting feeling. I wanted to give the backstory on the organization, but at the same time I wanted to show people what it would be like to seek help from them I think it turned out well and has inspired me to look for other small but powerful stories in my community.
